AAAA Records in Web Hosting
If you are using a service with a third-party company and you need to set up an AAAA record to direct a domain or a subdomain to their system, you are going to be able to do that with a few mouse clicks through the Hepsia CP, supplied with all of our web hosting solutions. After you log in, you will need to proceed to the DNS Records section in which you are going to find all of the records for any domain name or subdomain hosted inside the account. Creating a new record is as easy as clicking on a button, selecting the type from a drop-down menu, that will be AAAA in this case, and then entering the value, or the actual IPv6 address, in a text box. As an added option you could modify the TTL value (Time To Live), which determines how long the record will be live after you modify it or erase it in the future. The new AAAA record will be working in no more than an hour and will propagate around the world a couple of hours later, so the hostname for which you have created it will start redirecting to the new server.
AAAA Records in Semi-dedicated Servers
When you have a semi-dedicated server account from our company and you need to set up an AAAA record for a domain you have hosted in it or a subdomain you've set up, it'll take you just a few clicks within the Hepsia Control Panel to accomplish this. In case you have never had a hosting account before, you'll not encounter any issues as you will use a very simple and user-friendly interface. All DNS records for your domains are going to be listed in a section of the CP with the exact same name, so when you go there, you will see all records which have been created automatically or manually and you're going to be able to create a new one by clicking on the corresponding button. A compact pop-up will appear, so with several clicks you can choose the type of record that you need and for which domain name or subdomain it'll be set up. Next, just paste the IPv6 address within a text box, save the modification and 1 hour later the new AAAA record will be 100% live. As an optional setting, you can select the time this record will be functioning after you modify it or erase it in the future. This is actually the so-called TTL, or Time To Live value of the record, which you can change from the default 3600 seconds when the other company requires it.
