Full Root-level Access

What does the full root-level access option imply? What rights will it bestow you with? How to sign in to your server as root?

If you have root-level access to a server, it indicates that you'll have full control of it. In other words, you can set up any server-side app regardless of the changes that it will make to the software environment on the server, and you're able to both access and update any file, including system files, and change any settings. You can do this by connecting to the server as a root user that has full privileges to perform the aforementioned things and also to generate other users, including users that also have full privileges. The connection can be established using a web-based graphical interface or a Secure Shell console. For safety reasons, it's recommended that you create one more user for your daily work and use the root user only when you need to modify the server or to set up software which may be needed by some script-driven app that you want to run.

Full Root-level Access in Dedicated Servers

You will have full root-level access to your dedicated server regardless of what package you select during the registration process, as long as the server is ordered with cPanel or DirectAdmin, or without website hosting Control Panel at all. In all of these 3 cases, you are able to modify any part of the software environment in any way you find fit, which makes our server plans suitable for resource-demanding applications with specific requirements which cannot be covered if you use a shared web hosting account. The main difference between these options is that when you use cPanel or DirectAdmin, you'll have a web-based graphical interface to manage various server-side options and also any site content which you generate or upload, whereas when you order the server devoid of Control Panel, you will have to perform everything using a Secure Shell console or to set up a Control Panel of your liking, if it's compatible with the Operating System that you've chosen throughout the registration process. With the final Control Panel option which you will be able to choose on the order page - Hepsia, the root access will be limited.
