Multiple OS
What number of server Operating Systems will you be able to select from?
An Operating System is the low-level software that controls a computer system. It controls the way your hardware functions, the communication with peripherals such as a monitor, a printer or a keyboard, the allocation of memory between apps, as well as the prioritization of applications in case several run at the same time. Every program that's installed on a laptop or a desktop functions by sending requests to the OS for various services using an application program interface (API). The communication with the OS can be performed via a Graphical User Interface (GUI) or a command line. In the web hosting world, the Operating System is what runs a server along with all the software installed on it, which includes not only website scripts, but, in addition any other application for instance a VOIP or a game server. If there're virtual machines created, they use a guest OS which runs on the server host OS.
Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
The dedicated servers we offer come with three different Operating Systems since we want to give you more versatile packages that will allow you to install and run any kind of web software irrespective of its system requirements. Your choices are CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu and these three OSs are among the most stable and risk-free ones, not mentioning that they do not have any kind of license fees. All three have lots of developers who have created countless software packages that you can install and use on your web hosting server. We also offer three web hosting Control Panels and which one you can use will depend on the Operating System that you select when you register. In case you need some other OS later, it won't be a problem as we can always reinstall your server. With our Managed Services package we could also keep your OS secure by upgrading it every week with all patches which are released for it.
